Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has confirmed is to take an extended break from football due to health reasons.
Scotland captain to lose two months leading up end of last season due to illness and also sits on United's pre-season tour to North America to works on fitness.
He return to action for the national team in September 2012 Euro qualifying and has gone on to make 10 appearances for the Red Devils this season.
However, Fletcher has been suffer from chronic inflammatory bowel conditions and 27 years is to take a break from the game.
