Dallas - Lamar Odom admitted quite surprised no longer wanted by the Los Angeles Lakers. Odom also felt hurt by the treatment of former team when they want to sell to New Orleans Hornets.
Odom has now joined the Dallas Mavericks, a team that has dashed hopes of the Lakers in the NBA title grabbed in the playoffs last season.
"It's like a dream, it's like not real," Odom said on ESPN. "It has happened, you know, like that."
Odom joined to Dallas after New Orleans failed to make a sale that involves tig apemain namely, the Hornet Odom, Chris Paul to the Lakers and Pau Gasol to the Houston Rockets.
Odom said he and his agent, Jeff Schwartz, did not know if he was involved in the big exchanges. And when he found out, Odom seemed very angry with the treatment Lakers.
"Yea, I can not condemn. Not there (the Hornets) desire. It is not respect for everyone on the team and the city or its ownership. But that's not where I want after I play for the Lakers, the team that competed for the title was a you expect. And it's hard for me to imagine myself playing there, "Odom continued.
"This is not about moving to New Orleans. It's about how they do it. I feel a little unappreciated. After being here for a long time, I feel if they say I'll take it. If someone says you can not early or no space anymore for you, you'll understand. "
Struck by the way the Lakers, Odom told his agent and Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak to set the termination of cooperation. If you must move, Odom wanted to leave the Mavs who also wanted it known.
"Usually, I hear something from Jeff in the beginning but he seemed to say keadaku they (Lakers) wanted me to New Orleans and we do not feel that the best option," said owner of title of sixth man of the Year last season.
"I told (Kupchak) what should he do for me, I will be grateful if he could work with my agent, Vicegerent so I could play for a team like the Mavs," said Odom.
